hootel staff seemed really nice and very obliging. room excellent for monies paid. excellent breakfast bought with a smile. trips well arranged
we booked our train ricket with hotel from hanoi to hue and realised afterwards that they had charged us double the correct fare. this has happened to other clients and is obviously a dishonest scam practiced on trusting clients. i feel very angry and they should be throughily ashamed of themselves. we asked for the train tickets but they would not give them too us which was suspicious. they took us to the train station and money changed hands. obviously thr reception staff were all in it. take them off your list before other people are ripped off!

My compliments to the staff when we booked an overnight to Halong Bay they let us off for a nights booking and took care of our luggage while we were away and promptly got us into a room on our return.

Non-smoking, clean, comfortable & quiet rooms, free internet service & early checkin/late checkout esp for those having to take the overnight train to/fr Lao Cai a real boost.
Just check that any bookings you make for the trains is what you paid for. Tour arrangements come with high surcharge. Better book direct with tour agents which are plentiful.

We booked 2 deluxe triple rooms even though only one occupant per room we needed extra room as we were on business. We were given standard double rooms & one was next to the water pump which went into operation whenever the water was turned on in any room in the hotel, yes including people flushing toilets in the middle of the night. When we questioned the manager Cahn (ken) he said these were deluxe rooms but with double bed if we want triple room he will put 3 single beds in.Next morning we observed a triple room while it was being cleaned, it was the size we required not the standard we were given, we moved that morning to Rising Dragon 2 which was excellent. We didn't appreciate being lied to.

hotel staff from manager down did everything to promote our stay at a very convenient value for money hotel, good breakfast (availability of french rolls would be good) and excellent room and facilities. this is a universal feeling among wide range of international guests.
local people attended 4am market every morning in lane entry to hotel, raised noise level affected sleeping; could be fixed with double glazing of windows that look out onto the lane, would be prepared to pay another $10 night for this feature.

Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. Freshly-prepared breakfast included in the room rate. Large and clean rooms. Situated in the Old Quarter and within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake and all the shopping areas. Staff readily available to help recommend and arrange tours. Also helped me call a taxi and sent someone to follow me out with my luggage to wait with me and make sure I got on the right cab as cars are not able to stop right outside the hotel. Free wi-fi internet and satellite TV channels. Clean, large bathroom and air conditioner with heating, cooling and individual remote control. My room had a nice view of the lower buildings around as well as a partial view of the lake. 7-eleven and shop serving pho just a few steps away!
I booked a "Luxury Triple Room" but was given a Twin Room instead. The hotel brochure at the front desk and room states that the hotel is a 2* hotel, and not a 3* hotel as listed on Booked.net. Hotel is also in the midst of upgrading works, and 8th floor not served by elevator. However, I will still strongly recommend it as a fantastic hotel for the budget conscious. Definitely a very luxurious 2* hotel indeed! I had no problem with the twin room because I was travelling alone. Would even pay the same amount for a single room.

Very nice and helpfull staff.
The rooms are very noisy on the frontside (no double glass windows) and can be really cold and foggy during the winter. The breakfast is limited to 1 sandwich with butter and jam or an omelet. All together this hotel isn't worth 3 stars and not comparable to other 3 starhotels in Vietnam. The quality of the room and facilities is more about1-2 stars. The staff claims that management has been changed recently and will improve facilities.

hotel is located down a small alley so that you can get away from the noise of Hanoi, rooms are nice and clean
Advice from the owner on trips is very good but shop around as cheaper prices can be found.
